Proud of nomination for Amstelveen Entrepreneur of the Year in the Start-up category
With our mobile charging station solution, ChargeMakers has been nominated for Amstelveen Entrepreneur of the Year.
ChargeMakers, our mobile charging hub solution, has been nominated for the Amstelveen Entrepreneur of the Year 2022/2023 in the Start-Up category. Naturally, we are quite proud of that. We have been nominated with the well-known Mobile Charging Station solution. Our idea to make charging possible everywhere, even where there are no or insufficient charging stations, combined with our ambition to make electric driving accessible to everyone, was sufficient reason for the Municipality of Amstelveen to nominate owner Caspar Schoenmakers of ChargeMakers. Caspar started ChargeMakers in 2019 with the rental of temporary charging points. ChargeMakers is now active in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, and rents out mobile charging hubs at events, e-test days, and construction sites. In addition to rentals, ChargeMakers also sells fixed charging points and is active with fast chargers.
Election of Amstelveen Entrepreneur of the Year
Every two years, the election of the Amstelveen Entrepreneur of the Year is held in Amstelveen. The election is an initiative of the municipality of Amstelveen and Amstelveen Entrepreneurs Association as an appreciation for entrepreneurship within the municipality. The goal of this election is to encourage Amstelveen businesses to commit themselves and to inspire other entrepreneurs to pursue a sustainable, innovative, and creative approach to entrepreneurship. ChargeMakers identifies with this interpretation of entrepreneurship. 'We have been working hard for three years to accelerate the electric mobility market in a sustainable and innovative way.' It is great that our work is being appreciated with this wonderful nomination for Amstelveen Entrepreneur of the Year. We are very much looking forward to the election on November 18, 2022.

Settled in Amstelveen
Meanwhile, ChargeMakers is outgrowing its current size and we are in 2021 settled in Amstelveen at De Bouwerij, where we have room to grow with our rental fleet, (fast) chargers, and in terms of personnel.” In addition to Caspar, his wife Cathelijn also works with ChargeMakers. “It’s great to build this up together. Although the time has now come to add people to the team so that we can continue the growth.”
Growth ambitions
That growth comes from, among other things, one of our most recent projects; a fast charger with a battery in grid congestion areas – fast charging where it is actually not possible. “So, back to our roots, with an innovative solution that helps our customers move forward. After all, we are far from finished with our mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility.”
